Flinders mines is in a very enviable position compared to many other junior explorers. We all know that the resource is world class and from what i understand the company has had copious amounts of approaches from third parties to enter into JV's/ Mergers etc.
What we must understand is that not too long ago Flinders was offered 30c per share by MMK - at a point in time where the price of Iron Ore was not too dissimilar to current levels.
Of course the market has come back considerably in terms of sentiment and associated valuations however the current share price of 3.2c represents incredible value.
The board and executives driving Flinders are in amongst the largest shareholders of the company. Hence it is in the best interest too to ensure the best resolution is sought for all shareholders involved. Clearly the approaches have been below the company's expectations in terms of their own valuations and value propositions.
The latest update is probably one of the most positive releases in a very long while. It illustrates that the company is very close to finalising a company making/ game changing deal in relation to rail transportation and also subsequent offtake agreements/ JV's. Very clever move by the compnay to hold off from hiring an MD until after the rail agreement is signed, as then the MD will be in a very powerful position to be able to negotiate key JV/ Takeover/ Merger agreements.
Most importantly there will be No Capital Raising as the current $6m in Cash is sufficient to get them by until a deal is announced.
I feel the company is on the cusp of something massive - and with the AUD falling through the floor this Flinders project has become so much more affordable for the global market.
Be rest assured that now its just a matter of time before a deal on a number of fronts is done.. The only difference is that once a deal is done - the stock will be well over 10c - perhaps closer to 15,
