Rudd will align himself and the party as a pale imitation of the coalition....a couple full communist storm trooper like policies will still exist (NBN) for example but for the majority of the all other policies.......the caucus's fullest job ATM is pouring over every one of TA's policies and working out how close they can copy them but worded just far enough away to politically deny plagiarism.

TA has a true fight ahead now, Gillard appealed best only to those most clinically emotionally damaged in society...Rudd is a snake oil salesman who will work hard to sell the majority in intent of TA's wares as now his own.

Many will fall for this and the Luvvies will fall into line forgetting their verbose number of words they already used against the very same policies.
