I can confirm the free Dental bit drarthur. I went in to get a job done the other day at my local dentist in Broome and the waiting room was full of Sri Lankan asylum seekers. Minding them was a guy I spent many years working with at a mine out near Fitzroy Crossing. He now works for Circo at the Curtain detention centre........"twice the pay and half the work", but that's another story.
Anyway we had a good chat for the next fifty minutes while the whole mob all went and had a check up. Most had to make further bookings for extra work that was in excess of the check ups and my friend said he would bring them all back the following week.
Pretty much free everything is really what it's all about. Cigarettes included.
I wouldn't mind betting most of them had never seen a dentist before, let alone had work done by one. They were all in great spirits as you could expect. Just hit the jackpot really.
