Stweeve: I have actually been signed up to the Netflix for a while, assuming we had nothing like it in Australia. It was only out of interest I Googled for an Australian Netflix and found out about Quickflix. Like I said, I was very impressed with how professional it was. I was expecting a service with television and console apps, or active social media involvement.

Anyway, if your going to ask me whether I will now cancel my Netflix, the answer is no. Not yet anyway. I've said it a few times, the issue is content. If Quickflix can start to get some content on its streaming service (especially Aussie content you will never see on Netflix), then I probably will.

$14.95 is a very good price. Factoring in exchange rates and potential cost of geo-blocking, it could end up cheaper than Netflix.

Anyway, I can see that online streaming is the future. It will take over television as we know it, and Quickflix seems to be the best product nationally Australians have right now. Lots of risks, but if the ship is steered steady (and the course has already been plotted by Netflix in America, management just has to follow them) things will start to move.
