My answer to the question was: 'Homosexuality persists in the population because the behaviour is linked to an element that confers an advantage to the survival of the population.'
That is... homosexuality doesn't have to assist in the survival of a species for it to become evolutionarily prevalent.

Can you please point me to a scientific review that establishes this consensus.
