You must be really kidding yourself. The Eagles' team of that year was full of yobbos. Look how they behaved at the GF, and when they travelled abroad. The Eagle teams that preceded them,which won two GF's, would have been ashamed of their gross puerile behaviour.

I admired the Eagles' team which won two GF's under Malthouse and which came very close to winning a third. I'll never forget Matera's performance in their first GF win, especially when he ran and kicked a goal from a 60 (or was it 70?) metre punt, followed by another four goals. The team that won their last GF last didn't win anybody's admiration, unless you admired yobbish behaviour.
