If one wanted to apply a bit of "quantum" to any analysis - [thus applicability and weight in interpretations] one might try throwing some relevance data up: such as demand vs population and/or GDPs on time, in addition to the mining and production costs - the influences on that simple old price data. Won't go into the statistical normalisation side of things - that would get a bit torrid for a mining company forum thread.
