With all the talk of selecting first car for kids my mind went back to when we were teaching our girls to drive....
Two incidents of note....
1. Five hours after gaining learner's permit said daughter drove into a palm tree in our driveway....damage sustained to car...panel beater required...palm tree forever scarred...!!
2. Driving along the road near our place a duck suddenly appeared crossing the road. Daughter thought she had two options....suddenly veer around it or line it up and let it pass under the car. She opted for the latter thinking car was higher off the road....damage sustained to duck...parents and daughter forever scarred...!!
