The law of averages would also suggest that given enough time and occurrence two plus two will eventually equal five.

The same flawed logic remains that with no evidence of life coming from the inanimate then the laws of averages suggest that the odds are so far against such an event that an atheist is merely following a faith based against the evidence.

Would a creator be unable to build the universe in a trillion years. Maybe to our understanding but as the Big Bang has shown that around 17 billion or so years ago an event occurred that resulted in mass creation of our universe. Prior to that matter energy and time did not exist.

Therefore whatever has a beginning has a cause, so if you limit your universe to a narrow definition the excludes a supra natural God you cannot understand a supra natural event. The Big Bang demonstrates that time is not eternal, the un caused cause God created time it's his invention so would a trillion years be enough, hard to say as God does not exist in a temporally confined definition that we are subjected to.
