IMO, the US should be part of the originally planned trial because the company planned to have the phase II trial data available in the mid 2014 as announced on June 11, 2013. If the northern Hemisphwere wasn't part of the planned trial, then it would be surprising to take more than 6 months to have the trial data avaiable after the trials because the southern hemisphere flu season typically ends before November.
