Of course this may be a fabrication of the Left, of a similar kind to that which it accuses the US of pursuing.

Germany at the height of it's ethnic cleansing always had those willing to deny it's atrocities and there are those who adopt a similar stance today with Iraq.

Notice the inordinate time spent in this article on the significance of a lying girl. That sort of over emphasis should always alert the reader to the possibility that he/she is about to be subjected to propaganda.

If you want to get closer to the truth, checking out the stories of those who have fled from Saddam's murderous regime may be a better way to go. Here we have the all the biases of the journalist and her sources woven into the propaganda with which she wishes to influence us. That happens whether it is the Left Or the Right trying to influence us.

I notice Chuck like Dub, is posting articles that reflect their own biases on this subject and as such should always be read in that context. It is good that alternative viewpoints like their's are aired so there can be rational debate with input from both sides.

Truth is always at a premium in this sort of issue and one ultimately will make a choice on the credibility of the sources. More often, of course, being human beings, even facts than can be verified do little to influence our biases.
