copperroad, under your scenario, wouldn't every MP be criminally negligent for every road accident if the had been warned or knew about dangerous intersections, roads and or train crossings?
Stupid analogy. Ministers were cupable for immense irresponsibility when trying to push through the pink batts scheme knowing full well there were not the adequate resources and training available to contemplate such a scheme in such a short timeframe. But they had a political agenda.
I don't go as far as saying anyone is criminally negligent from a government perspective but heads should have rolled. At the very least that total incompetent fool Garrett should have been sacked. Instead Labor chose to defend the scheme claiming it as an overwhelming success. Garrett, a highly public Labor figure soon became a ghost, hardly ever to be seen in public again.
Here's a reminder of this debacle. Some people want to quickly forget how useless Garrett actually was.
