makattack, there were already rules and regulations in place for the employer to be responsible for workers safety.

The policing of those rules and regulations needed to be increased, which comes back to what the government did or didn't do after becoming aware of concerns about the installation process.

Which is the same as if the government fails to act when becoming aware of dangerous intersections, roads and or train crossings.

makattack, so if the government knowingly fails to take action regarding dangerous intersections, roads and or train crossings and this continues to results in deaths, your saying the government is not responsible for those deaths?

So I guess you would also say governments who lie and send 40 Australian's to their death would not be responsible for those deaths either?

The point of the analogy that seems to have escaped you, is the government actions and inaction cause deaths, always has and always will.

Whether that is on the roads, hospitals, funding for support groups, military action, policies, etc.

Being selective on what you blame or don't blame on the government based political flavour is BS.

    The analogy stands.
