    Just to weigh in on the 'cost per tonne' arguement.

    Generally processing and materials handling isn't a huge cost. Especially with low labour costs.

    In australia for open pit operations, mining is usually between $60-80/rom tonne, depending on grade, seam width and over-burden. Where as processing rarely breaches $15/tonne. Usually under $10 if the plant is newish (last 10 years).

    Processing = cheap
    mining = expensive
    tailings digging = cheap (on surface and doesn't need blasting unless its been sitting a while).

    still think there is not enough detail here to get excited about yet..
