A dense,fat malt that tries to offer something along a sherry front but succeeds mainly in producing a whisky cloyingly sweet and unfathomable.
He does rate the Ballachin Madeira Matured
I didn't quite get the point here:putting a massively peated malt like this in a Madeira cask is a bit like putting Stan Laural into bed with Marylyn Munroe.
But it works.
