The native copper mineralisation is widespread and economic zones have been noted down to 90m, not just near surface and a minable mass of over 5mt has been delineated.

Grades of over 20% for reasonable tonnages have been located and the early years are likely to see around 30% (~1mtpa) of mill feed at grades in excess of 5% Cu. Copper nuggets are expected to be recovered >200mm but it appears the majority of native copper nuggets fall in the 10 – 80mm range and occur as collectively friable conglomerates within various host rocks including clays.

The Company has pilot-tested an innovative yet relatively simple separation process using high-pressure grinding rolls (HPGR) for tertiary crushing and gravity jigs. The front end of the plant is expected to remove all but the flotable native copper through gravity separation.
Rocklands also has over 5mt of higher grade chalcocite (Cu2S) supergene ore spread over the resource base
