curious about the 777 crash?, page-22

surely it is the crew's responsibility (assuming the aircraft is functioning correclty) to ensure the aircraft is on the correct glide path during landings else why are they flying the airplane? if they can't perform visual landings they shouldn't be in the cockpit?

and I'm not saying this accident is the crew's fault either, it's too early to say.
