* Austerity drives were implemented by Newman. The scary thing is he later admits a large portion of the public service will naturally attrite in the next few years. So we've paid billions for something that will be done for free in the next few years.
* Newman has passed on average $500 fee increases this last budget
* Newman has passed on a 22% spike in power prices (the blame here is apportioned to state and Feds).
To date he has broken 4 election promises:
1. Bringing budget to surplus by 2014-15 2. No public sector cuts 3. Effective cost of living initiatives 4. Aligning MP pay rises to public servant pay rises.
