Have you discovered the leafy green superfood 'saltbush'? The CSIRO have been working on developing new varieties of what has traditionally been a sheep and cow perennial fodder bush, but turns out they are perfectly good as a leafy green for humans. Because of its insanely deep root system it is able to concentrate essential minerals in its leaves (spinach doesn't even compare) and is chock full of anti-oxidants. You will see more of this leafy green in the health food stores in the coming months ;)

Emm as for welfare, I'll put some thought into how the fish really feels after I chop its head off, rip its insides out, chargrill it and devour every last sceric of life giving protein. Animal activists, put them out with the trash! Killing things is what is necessary to survive.
