My original post made no comment on the validity or otherwise of the shadowstats statistics. It was merely posted as a contribution to a discussion about whether the methodology used to calculate inflation has changed. I'd thought that you were missing danhoff's point and I was attempting to cool things off so the thread didn't spiral out of control on a misunderstanding.

The charts from that site I think are interesting just because I think they're interesting, you can come to your own conclusions.
