Hmmm... actually SMM is suing the Solomon Island government as well. I don't think they have much bargaining power at the moment; they will be busy not being embarrassed.
Of course, the Solomon Island government, actually more the landowners, should have the final say here. I can't see how SMM can mine/explore the land if the people of the SI are fully against it. Maybe that's where all the confidence comes from of various posters here that AVQ is going to win the court case.
Don't get me wrong. Of course, I also want AVQ to win, but I am just a little bit more cautious. I still believe it's 50/50. There are way too many unknowns in this whole thing.
