This is not in the least bit funny. So many endorsements shows that people approve of the attitude underlying this so called joke rather than it being funny.
How we deal with illegal arrivals is a matter of policy but smuggling in fear, loathing and hate like this "joke" does and as so much of the political debate does is unworthy of this country.
Most money spent on illegals goes to jobs for white aussies - security people, defence staff, private contractors, aid agencies..you name it. This is even worse with money spent on aboriginal welfare. In fact there is a whole industry that is feeding off refugees.
Nothing wrong with implementing the policy decided by the government, that is what is democracy, but we can be civilized about it and treat people with dignity instead of spreading lies, fear and mocking them.
