    Well fair enough. But what shall I say when the person being bombarded by the stats cannot even understand the issue being discussed?

    To see this let's look at what you are saying: In the year 2000, about 17 million Americans were employed in manufacturing. Today, only about 12 million Americans are employed in manufacturing.

    As the graph bellow clearly shows, sorry about my insistence on graphs but as they say a picture is worth one thousand words, WHAT YOU ARE TAKING ABOUT IS A TREND that started very long time ago.

    THIS AS WELL THE OTHER STUFF THAT YOU RAISED HAS NOTHING TO DO with the recovery from the abrupt fall in GDP that occurred in 2007/2008.

    If you want to discuss the recovery them please let's do it in TERMS.
