The select committee was charged with submitting a report to the Queensland Government with recommendations with respect to the mining and shipment of Uranium.
It is disappointing that nearly three months have passed since the April report deadline and no decision has been made.
Until definite guidelines are known and whilst uncertainty exists, costly deep drilling below the regolith at Wilgar is best left.
The rich Uranium found at Wilgar has ,in my view, been a deterrent to the early exploitation and mining of the deposit so I am keen to see the Queensland Government not delay a decision further.
