Rumbai for the record I know ports that it used to cost $1.5 per ton now very upset they have let that creep up to $3.26, through employing more staff etc. So your averages are just that averages.
Lets face it though Fairstar doesn't own the rail line or the facilities at Esperance so there is going to be a markup in there for those operators. Paying the cost and freight means they control costs right to the port of delivery otherwise the Chinese have the tendency to inflate costs to get it from port of origin so the only difference there is control but it will have an effect on final profit margin.
