    All too complicated for lil ol me .. however I have to agree with Mango that inflation is caused by demand outstripping supply. If you have too much of something it's value drops and vice versa. I dunno how this traslates into a currency tho, doesn't an infinite amount of US$ make them worthless eventually ? ... Detroit could invent it's own currency and pay it's bills, but would the creditors accept the Detroit$ ... for how long will ceditors accept $US ? Reminds me of the Goon shows when deals were made using photographs of bank notes, lol. "I'll buy that gold bar of you with this photo of a $US1000 note, deal?"
