That is fine Fat Bloater - if that is the way you want to live your life. FYI you can have a very enjoyable life on $40k if housing costs are already taken care of. The thing is using your view of the world so many spend all they have and more and have nothing to really show for it and end up struggling their whole lives. Frankly I would rather tighten my belt in my early years so I don't have to struggle my whole life. There are many ways to have an enjoyable and happy life and spending money like water doesn't mean you will have either. At the end of the day do what makes you happy but the world doesn't owe you anything especially if you can't sacrifice to get the things you really want. So many want everything with none of the hardships or consequences, but alas life is not that easy in reality land!
