Dont forget the ripple effect. Just like prices go up in a certain area then spread out to the outer suburbs. It will happen the opposite way as well. The Y generation doesnt want to live in the suburbs. They will move towards the inner city. I dont think the fall in real estate will discriminate. Just same areas will hurt more than others. At the moment, it is the oversupply of units around major cities that are hurting the most.
