re: bad news all round/jazz 80% of calls I get are on my mobile since it's easier to reach a person through a mobile.
Currently I recharge with Optus, $30 gets me $130 credit. Even if I do that every month it's still much much cheaper than having a landline.
If I have cable, plus Skype, plus use only my mobile, my bills each months will be considerably less. In no way do I need Telstras service in any of the above.
