Because it's well known that West Coast players were full to the brim on drugs. Their outrageous behaviour was further evidence of their outlandish behaviour in that year, and especially at their last winning GF. And, of course, one of their top (and respected)players died as a consequence of their rampant illicit drug taking in that period.
And what did their head honchos do whilst this outlandish behaviour was rampant. Absolutely nothing.
They are now trying to hide this gross and hide behaviour by trying to slur the coach of another club, when the two bodies responsible for drugs in sport can not agree what is legal and what is not.
WCE should have the gumption to hand the Cup for that year to the legitimate winner - Sydney. But do they have the guts?
