    Mowibble,

I take it your post to Jessie was also aimed at me considering your reply to my OP.

I can't speak for Jessie, but in this thread, I see nothing wrong with the questions he posed.

And you advised Jessie should "distinguish yourself from people whose sole mandate is to end multiculturalism".

In relation to this, I am hard pressed to find anyone that wants to end multiculturalism. I have read many posts on HC and I am yet to find anyone who only wants a "white Australia" policy.

I think people confuse the Muslim issue with an "end to multiculturalism". It is an exaggeration often used to discredit a poster who wants our immigration policies re-addressed.

I think you (Mowibble) and others often choose to ignore what people have to say and pass it off as bigoted. I find it quite funny that wanting to stop boat people to allow for more legitimate refugees is considered bigoted. And this is something I have endorsed in all my posts in relation to this topic, but still get accused at being bigoted or racist in regard to this issue.

I just can't understand how the bleeding hearts can be so vocal in their support of boat people, but have nothing to say about the ones who get pushed further back in the quota. Dare I call you bigots for your ignorance in regard to these people.

I'm sure Jessie is not preaching an end to multiculturalism, which is what the ignorant like to conveniently believe.

Most of us have our views on Muslim immigration, but this cannot be and should not be passed off as "anti-immigration" on the whole. Most people (those who are accused of being bigots) will condemn any violence towards women of any race or culture. Most, if not all, on here will condemn horrific acts towards children of any race or culture. All will condemn horrific acts of terrorism against targeted innocent victims. And most, if not all, will admit that most immigrants have made a wonderful contribution to this country.

I think all of this is a far cry from being radical and most (if not all) would be very vocal in opposition to any of the acts (above). I'm quite sure, almost 100% positive that all of us on HC would condemn the IRA if they were still bombing and targeting innocent people in England. So, comparing us with the moderate Muslims who don't speak out about horrific acts of violence is a little misguided.
