First, if you look at the title of this thread (feds seize gold coins) then you immediately realize that whoever created this thread most likely gave it a such title knowing that the word Feds would be interpreted as meaning the Federal Reserve Banks that make the Federal Reserve System. However, neither you nor anybody else did show any kind of outrage at the employment of such tactics in oder to advance the goldbug cause.

Second, the contract for the delivery of the wheat in exchange for gold had nothing sinister about it as being implied by you. Both, the object of the contract (the sell of Australian wheat) and the for of payment selected (gold) were legal.

WHAT TAINTED THE WHOLE DEAL was that in order to win it from the Iraqis the Australians accept to make secret payments to whoever signed the contract on behalf of the Iraqis.


Third, I had no difficulty in finding news about the affair leading me to reckon that the suggested conspiracy on the part of the Australian news outlets to hide the facts is baseless.
