Might be a it on the slow side IMO Test, maybe in the initial stages.; it would require alt of bags, filling and unfilling etc ,. IMO by the time LV pilbara passes over the demo stages , to a stage where capacity passes current infrastructure limitations; a heavy goods train line of increasing capacity will be dropped in... It just needs to come in to meet the capacities .
I've heard some of the other mob constantly harping on and asking - how will they transport it??? What if the pellet breaks...omg water will get in!! Smoke, flames, inferno!!
It actually doesn't matter if the pellets are whole or smashed...the coldry process / product does not reabsorb water, period.
Some fail to believe that...or just seem to have 5 second memory and ask the question again and again even though they have been given the answer and the information to prove it....
Anyway...I'm involved in the resource side of things particularly black coal, there's always something to complain about in the resource side; coal dust blowing from train carriages is one and what's becoming fairly common now, are carrage covers...basically the same heavy duty plastic retractable covers that you will see on trucks dragging earth or rubbish metro areas.
IMO any BCE product , no matter who produces it, will be trained / trucked out in covered wagons, no matter what claims are made/proved, I'd imagine they will try to avoid contact with moisture in any case and understandably too... loaded in to bulk carriers which are always lidded after loading and shipped
IMO there will need to be considerable increase in modules to trigger export...remember Loy yang itself burns about 60,000 tonnes of lignite PER DAY, the current boilers are able to take a 10-15% shandy mix without modification , hence Loy Yang itself could take about 2-3 million tonnes of coldry per year ( without modification ) .
All this LV pilbara export chat has IMO sidetracked us from Coldrys other and IMO big ticket; is plopping these plants along side mine mouth power plants abroad.....that would cut a significant amount of transport . ALL of NLCs power plants are mie mouth plants and they are looking to treble capacity and fast!!!
Drop a plant in loy yang ......AND Dropping one, in India's largest lignite mining company, and is also one of the country's leading power generation companies (NLC) yard....LOL issue for construction August 2013 ..constructing plants Loy Yang, NLC .......IMO years ahead of anyone else!!
