Copper rallies to a record

December copper climbed to a lifetime high of $1.854 a pound and was last at $1.84, up 1.3 cents, with signs of a strong economy boosting the likelihood for industrial-metal demand, according to MarketWatch.
"With the exception of a few days in the middle of October, copper has been a little like waiting for the sun to rise in the east every morning," said Dale Doelling, chief market technician at Trends In Commodities.
"It's almost been that reliable," he said, adding that the "trend in this market is up, up and away."
