I have noticed in the suburb that I live in a change.
It used to be quite arty farty. Homes with low picket fences.
Now the 'money' is moving in and a lot of these homes are being knocked down and new houses built. The fences are getting higher. Actually, a lot of fences are being replaced by high solid walls. Recessed security entries.
I always say WTF - are we living in Johannesburg now? I call it 'eff off' architecture. And I don't like it.
