Viewed an interesting program on ABC TV on Thursday night,"10 BUCKS A LITRE" Hosted by Dick Smith. Now being an ABC PROGRAM Hosted by Dick Smith I thought this was going to be biased, but I was pleasantly surprised that it was an informative documentary covering energy sources from coal to solar.
One of the faults Dick found with solar and wind energy is it's inability to be stored to be used at peak usage times.
So maybe the Vanadium flow batteries will be the answer.
Also Dick Smith seems to have a soft spot for Nuclear Power stations. He did point out the fact that if things do go wrong you can have a huge disaster, but if we want to reduce greenhouse emissions nuclear power is one way to go.
