re: rang company - nothing to report 05-349 Perth man appears in court on charges of intent to defraud
Tuesday 8 November 2005
Mr Mark James Pallister, previously of Rossmoyne, Western Australia and recently of Double Bay, Sydney, has appeared in the Perth Magistrates Court on criminal charges brought by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC).
Mr Pallister was charged with three counts of intent to defraud.
ASIC commenced an investigation as a result of a complaint concerning Rototek Pty Ltd, a company associated with Mr Pallister, which had entered into a joint venture arrangement and partnership with Citybright Pty Ltd (Citybright), to create a new business concept trading as 'Concept Boats'.
ASIC alleges that on three occasions, Mr Pallister falsified invoices and other documents, and made false statements, to obtain monies totalling approximately $900,000.
It is alleged that Mr Pallister obtained the funds and used them for purposes other than that represented to his business partners.
Mr Pallister has been bailed to reappear at Perth Magistrates Court on 19 January 2006 for a committal mention hearing.
The Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions is prosecuting the matter.
