Conspiracy and corruption ... couldn't it just simply be that people want a nice place to live or a safe investment class not prone to daily fluctuations and panic buying / selling?

If you seriously want a property crash you need to change our society's unquenchable thirst for it. People love it. They can understand it. You don't have to be a fundamental or technical guru or understand the complexities of business to buy well. And when they buy it, they soon get a taste for it and want to buy more or bigger property.

You only have to look at some of the venom inflicted on this forum to see its the classic have's vs have not's, and in our material world that is all property needs to prevent it crashing.
