    Thought his was worth posting....

I don't want to turn the thread into a Liberal BAAAADDDD...Labor GOOOOOOD bleating ...(or Vice versa)...I think they're both pretty crappy. But I think it's interesting to note how protective Rupert appears to be of Foxtel.....he's seen inn the US what prolific internet can to to the cable TV business.....doesn't want that to happen here.

On the other hand...would a state of the art NBN be the green light for the big OS players to move into Aust.....and give QFX some serious competition.?

    Interesting to ponder.

On June 26, Rupert Murdoch used Twitter to write: ''Australian public now totally disgusted with Labor Party wrecking country with it's sordid intrigues. Now for a quick election''.
Rudd's greatest failing, in the eyes of News Corp management, and the greatest threat he poses, is his $45 billion NBN, a massive project announced without any serious costing. News Corp has formed a view it represents a threat to Foxtel.
The company much prefers the Coalition's less costly but also less ambitious national broadband strategy. News Corp newspapers have reported the numerous failings and cost-overruns of the NBN in hundreds of stories.
Although the Coalition's alternative is less costly, it offers an inferior capacity for downloading content at a time when consumer demand is shifting dramatically towards content-on-demand and content via computers.
