Why would you love that Stweeve? It is the same business model as nearly every other digital content provider (Apple, Foxtel, Quickflix, etc.), and ultimately one that will fail.
Australia is still in a transition phase to IPTV. Sooner rather than later we will see what the rest of the world gets. One small monthly fee with unlimited access to a great range of content.
I can live with Quickflix using the PPV model with new release movies right now. Like I said, we are in that transition phase, it is a decent money spinner as long as people are still willing to do it.
But it won't last. Quickflix still seems like the company most willing to embrace the free content business model, so I am happy to put my eggs in their basket.
It's laughable that we can literally look at Netflix to see a successful company providing people what they want. It's a shame that content providers (and Quickflix isn't innocent themselves) continue to screw the Aussie consumer.
