CSG guy I don't think its entirely fair to dump on the board for recruiting PH. David was/is a geo who are pretty well known for just wanting to keep drilling holes (slight generalisation maybe). Peter was a proven production guy, therefore a sound choice given the number of wells on trial production which they had great hopes for. Two things then happened. The company got hit by a maelstrom of nimbyism supported by BOF and secondly the wells would simply not play ball despite every sort of stimulation trick in the book. The new director won't work miracles overnight and his influence is unlikely to be disproportionate to his vote on the board.
Likely impact of Greg Short= nil. Takeover better than 50/50 I reckon.
