Spoke to SBR Management today, as usual they were very professional and more than happy to discuss non-market sensitive information....
[A] Assay Turnaround to improve going forward
2 weeks ago SBR Management made a decision to do all future assaying in Australia.
PREVIOUSLY:
Samples were sent to a lab in Namibia, however despite being told previously by the Namibian lab that their assaying machine was fixed, it wasn’t, and samples were forwarded by the lab to Canada for final assaying. SBR Management tried to chase up the Lab in Canada without success. As such the Turnaround times blew out to 7 to 8 weeks.
NOW:
Samples are sent by SBR to a lab in Namibia for sample preparation only (i.e. Grinding down to appropriate 1mm size and making sure the sample is homogenous/representable), then SBR forwards the samples (in around 10kg boxes) by aeroplane to a laboratory in Perth Australia.
This method of using the Lab in Perth Australia is not only cheaper, it is faster; with turnaround times (from the time samples are initially sent to the lab in Namibia by SBR to the time Results are received from the lab in Perth) of 3 to 4 weeks. Also of added benefit is that SBR have an open dialogue with the Lab in Perth for queries and for chasing the lab for assay results.
[B] Planning to have 2 Rigs drilling at Guchab imminently..
The Diamond Tails and extra DD holes at Schlangental is comming to an end by the company-owned Diamond Drill Rig. The company owned DD Rig will be moved to Guchab mountain imminently.
[C] Schlangental
SBR have a backlog of assays in laboratory. They are awaiting those results.
[D] Eisernenhut (iron Hat/Cap - the western portion of the Rodgerberg Mining area)
SBR have constructed access to Eisernenhut. The reason for this was that the area was very difficult to get access.
The area of interest in the future will be an area of surface expression 100 metres wide and 200 metres long.
[E] Website
Previously the Website was maintained by a 3rd Party who’s responsibility was to ensure the website was updated on an ongoing basis to reflect the company evolving operations...this maintenance was not happening...as such SBR Management took it into their own hands to update the wesbsite...
The new website will be up and running next week and will give readers an understanding of up-to-date operations. Much of what is discussed in this post will be in the website.
