The worst thing any politician could do to Australian youth would be to scrap penalty rates.
The next generation would not be able to accumulate wealth because salary's in many cases would be halved and in many cases and needless to say, without penalty rates home mortgages and investing for the future becomes out of the question, retailers would further struggle to survive in this economic environment, but a portion of industry and manufacturing with a focus on export markets could do well, but as the owners of those few so called successful companies retire they would need to sell their businesses to multi nationals because the next generation of Australians are devoid of wealth and all they could expect to receive is to work as slaves of multi nationals in their own country.
The scrapping of penalty rates I fear is in line with many of the simplistic solutions sought by far right politicians like Tony Abbott and I fear he could ruin all things typically Australian for the next generation.
Beware of Tony's plan to revive manufacturing and industry and ask more questions if you too love your kids as I love mine.
