From what I can see it looks as though have KCI have kept their wagon hitched to the same horse. Apparently they were losing market share according to the San Antonio Express.
Systagenix products are seen as complementary to their own and the takeover will promote synergies in the running of the business. Perhaps they are just making sure they maintain their market share.
