Price manipulation did not come into existence in the last decade with the rise of bots and funky things like iceberg orders.
People have been attempting to manipulate market prices ever since there was a market.
In the end it always is a matter of whether more people want to buy more shares at a certain price than the people who want to sell at that price.
Supply and demand.
And for today's fun and games, there is hardly any supply (of new sell orders) at 3.4 but there is decent demand (of new buy orders) at 3.5.
Therefore, the price looks like its going higher today. Probably.
We shall see how many shares the price capping bot has to sell.
