Unfortunately children are employed ahead of adults just as happened in Britain during the Industrial Revolution. Reasons included that they would work for less pay, had increased dexterity and mobility around the large and dangerous machines and were less likely to organise for better conditions. The result was that families became dependent on their children to survive and the children missed out on an education or a childhood.
