Bruce if I had no idea on where I thought a stock was heading with time, I wouldn’t be in the stock! That doesn’t mean I will be right of course but I can have my idea on where its more likely to go IMO.
Why would any one buy a stock unless they considered it likely to rise, or short a stock unless they thought it would fall? If I had no idea I would leave my money in the bank or buy property to rent out.
If/when I decide the stock no longer looks likely to rise by an amount sufficient to justify the market or stock specific risk or if I find a more attractive investment, then I will sell.

Bruce just as something can surprise you and drop rapidly and much further than we expect, the same is true in reverse.
After PRU’s qtrly, I shorted it. I had to buy back quickly for a small profit when the trade did not look like working well.
The stock nearly doubled for no good fundamental reason other than the market maybe expects a much higher POG or they are looking quite a way forward to PRU getting costs down or it was just a lot of panic short covering. According to the qtrly they might be running at a loss for some time yet. Then there’s MNC. It trended down from 40c to 1.1c.
6 weeks later it hit 8c! I watched it recently thinking profit taking might hit at any time but it kept rocketing higher.
What about ABU when it was at 2.1 and everyone was talking like gold was dead. Did you expect 3.9c in 6 weeks?
What if ABU starts drilling again and hits another GH only larger?
Anything is possible with regard to down side but also with regard to upside. Keep your expectations realistic on the current resource but don’t be too quick to write of the potential upside.
