If as it has been reported on this thread the wrong grade of steel has been used.
Management might have a lot of explaining to do.
Super duplex stainless isn't cheap.
Welding procedures will have to be prepared.
Welding operators will have to be qualified. The volumetric testing of welded joints is not a cheap exercise. What welding standard is being used in this instance?
Flanges will have to bolted, pipe clamps installed and all of these flanges, clamps and bolts will have to be stainless like the pipes
The original piping will have to stripped out which will take as long as it took to instal.
Are we talking a bout a few metres of piping or kilometers of piping. If all the piping is of the wrong grade we are looking at an extremely large bill.
