Personally I bought it on the technical break of $1.25. Now at an adjusted 5 year high, so I wouldn't be surprised if others were buying it for the same reason. Need to keep in mind that the share buyback over the past couple of years and the GM buying significantly over the past year and a bit has taken a lot of the potential sellers out of the market. Also still below NTA which is attractive for some investors. Villa World back in the day was a fantasic house and land producer primarily in QLD. Seems like with low interest rates and VLW still focusing mostly on a low value property entry point, that conditions are moving back in their favour. If writedowns are done for now this stock could have a lot further to run. Will be getting out at $2.00 though.
