If you think you can get 1 in 10 Australians to pay $1 a day for any journalism in this country you are living in Disneyland. Look at circulation figures even from 10 years ago before the real decline happened - it's not even close to that. Not remotely. One in 100 is more realistic, and they're a long way off that in digital subscriptions yet.

And I hate to break it to you but Fairfax have been in the QLD digital market for years now with the Brisbane Times. It hasn't really contributed anything to the bottom line.

Look at today's result - huge drops in EBITDA and EPS.
